Method: questionnaire-based random survey to 200 small scale farmers in 4 rural villages; Results: knapsack sprayer is the major pesticide application equipment for small scale farmers. 71.4% of interviewee experienced pesticide poisoning, which relate to dermal pesticide exposure. Sprayer leakage is the major reason of the exposure. 58% farmers said the sprayer starts to leak within 1 year after purchasing.
